Needed - Dress for Destination Wedding in PR

Please help! I thought I had a great dress for a destination wedding I'm going to Memorial Day weekend, but I tried it on the other day and it was way too big (as some of you know I'm doing WW).

I'm happy that it's too big but I'm stressed about finding another dress.

Here are the requirements:

  • it must be of a fabric that travels well. I don't think i'll have access to an iron. So no pleats.
  • Must be something that I could wear again....
  • Prefer not black.. or if black then bejeweled with beads or something. Think beach & summer!

As far as price, style, color.. I'm very open! Please help! I keep looking around and don't see anything that says "buy me!"

BTW I'm watching this dress on Ebay. Some of you may remember I tried to buy it on Olive & Bette, but they let me down.

Go Clothing has a bunch of cute dresses on sale right now, but I don't know how well they would travel. I've had good luck with packing thin silk dresses with tons of tissue paper and then using the steam from a hot shower and/or a blowdryer to un-rumple them.

Nell, $107 Nell, $137

Oh get this for your trip (not necessarily the wedding), it's so cute!
Nell @ Bluefly, $80

From Bluefly:
I've been eyeing this for a while. Nicole Miller, $80

I love these Walter dresses and they are tropical colors! And I think the slight gathering would make any wrinkles less noticable.

How dressy do you need to be?  What about one of the convertible dresses from Butter on Girlshop?  Pretty and you'll definitely wear it again.

Honestly, I have no idea! The bride is very casual and laid back but the groom is totally a fashion slave! He loves to dress up and I can definitely see him being very anti-barefoot on the sand-style! I am probably going to pack at least casual dress and one fancy dress. We are probably going to go out alot and I'm trying to turn this wedding into a mini-vacation for myself and my boyfriend. I love to dress up on vacation.

You girls are AWESOME! Thanks so much for all these choices! The options are overwhelmling!

tri_sarah_tops I have been eyeing those Butter dresses since they've been on the site! This may be my excuse to get one! hehehe I think I had a Girlshop code for 15% somewhere. If I find it I will post it for all to shop!

Karina - I love these!

I like the other ones too. Maybe I should think about a dress that is more open to interpretation (like with lots of accessories).

cc - I love all your picks! I think I am definitely going to get this! So tropical! Even if I don't wear it at the wedding, I think it would be so fun for summer. I need color!

I am definitely going to post a packing list before I go!
