I have to do a project about their culture. Although I got all the information that I needed I want to put a spin on things when I present it. But I am out of ideas. Can you ladies think of anything that will make the presentation intresting and fun?

We are coming up with a person, and have to describe every aspect of their life. We are creating a guy who is college. But I want to try to do something that will keep everyone intrested and they can sort of compare to.

Hmmm...you could give everyone Haggis and IRN BRU (their best selling soft drink versus Coca Cola for the rest of the world.) LOL

or whiskey could make it even more interesting.

How about making it(turn the classroom) into a pub setting? Your person would definitely spend most of his university days there.

Many specialty British food stores have them, and you can buy them online. Where are you located? I know there are several stores in the DC and Seattle area that carry it.

It is orange and SWEET and loaded with caffeine.

Blergh I hate Irn Bru! Maybe it was because Scottish people were always trying to tell me it was *good* for me (ha ha). But yeah it would probably be a good thing to pass out in class.

What class is this project for, btw?

You could teach the class some Scottish words, I like the haggis idea although I doubt anyone would actually eat it.

I don't think there is anywhere around here that sells that kind of stuff though. I live in South Florida. Plus i want to do something creative to give everyone a sense of the scottish life but then again i only have 15 min and my teacher wants it to be wonderful. It is for an intercultural class.

The Scottish are INCREDIBLY nationalistic...very proud of being Scotsmen, maybe start the presentation with the speech scene from Braveheart?

Oh my god. I might hurl just thinking about the stuff. I did try vegetarian haggis when I was in Scotland - I think it was made with legumes and came in a can. That was the closest I could get to haggis, although I know you all will laugh at me for thinking it was like the real thing.

I've been to Scotland. It's beautiful and the people are very friendly. My only advice is not going to St. Andrews (it's basically where golf originated). Unless you LOVE golf, it's very boring.
