i don't know if you've ever seen this or know anything about it (i have no idea how well known it is among those who look for such things), but one of my coworkers just got accepted to this program and it seems really interesting and not a huge committment to get your foot in the door

Thanks for posting this, valenciana.  Too bad I can't take off work to take a class like this.  My boss barely lets me take a day off, let alone six weeks. *Sigh* Maybe I'll look for something like this around here.

well...from what i gather from my co-worker who's doing this, there's a career fair thingy at the end and a very high rate of job placement directly out of the course.  like a mini-grad school thing.  obviously a big commitment and leap to hope for that, but it seems promising...if it really is that simple.
