So sad .... Bulga bag not coming UPDATE!

Like many of you, I placed an order for a Bulga bag about a month ago from Testimo and have been waiting to receive it.  I was happy when I saw that my bank account had been charged today.  However, I noticed that the 15% off coupon code was not applied.


I called them and they said no biggie, write an email, include your order number and we'll refund you the difference.  So I did.  Well I just got an email from Brandy, the owner, who let me know that the code I used had expired 2/15 and therefore could not be used.  She offered to cancel my order.


I'm so bummed.  I wish I had known the code didn't work when I placed the order and not a whole month later.  There is another 15% off code but she said the only way I could use it is if I cancel my order then place a new one - and wait yet ANOTHER month to get my bag.   So I canceled my order and placed a new one with Active Endeavors.  It ended up being cheaper than Testimo, but who knows how long I'll have to wait now (approximate ship date is supposedly tomorrow but who knows how true that is). 


I have a bad feeling about the Testimo order/refund.  The site says no refunds on accessories and Brandy was not clear what she meant when she said she could cancel my order.  I hope to God that doesn't mean store credit.... cross your fingers for me please!

fingers crossed!  i think it's a good sign that you actually spoke w/ a person and the owner at that.  just be supersweet but persistent w/ her just in case you have problems.  and let's keep our hopes up about the active endeavors ship date. who knows, maybe you'll have it by this time next week!

active endeavors is awesome.  their customer service is amazing so hopefully you'll have better luck.  i know after all these posts, i would NEVER buy anything from testimo.  i believe that companies who deserve my business, should get my business. 


if you are stuck with a store credit, you should fight it!!!

I think you'll be okay.  I spoke to Brandy before about changing my order from the Large Bulga to the smaller one well after the 2/15 order date.  She changed it and still gave me the 15% code that I originally ordered it with.  They were super helpful and very nice.

I really like Brandy. I just think it must be hard with a small store to all of a sudden have an overwhelmingly large amount of orders and having to deal with all that. Anyway, she's been really helpful with me and my order. I am sure she wouldn't fight you on the refund (unless her store wasn't able of doing cc refund.. some small boutiques are not set up with cc companies to do that).

Maybe after all this hassle you should definitely get your 15%! Which one did you pick btw?

I ordered the medium coral Bulga.  I was very nice to her and honestly I wish she had just applied the 15%.  I still don't understand why she couldn't.  She was more concerned with knowing who I spoke to when I called, so she could clarify the policy to her.  That's all fine but I'm still left unhappy and it's very unlikely I'll purchase from her again.  I suppose I have high expectations?

Tom has always been great at Active so I'm much happier ordering from them anyway.  Their code is 20% so I threw in the backordered chocolate Charlotte pants and it still came out to ~$385 - that's what Testimo charged me so I'll get both pieces for the same price.  We'll see what happens!

So they screwed up and sent me the bag anyway.  ARGH!!  UPS guy called me to let me know it's out for delivery today.  I should refuse it on principle, but it's so tempting to just keep it!  I mean, who knows how long I'll have to wait for the one from Active (I sound just like Becky Bloomwood don't I?). 
I think I will keep it and if the Active one happens to come before I use this one - I'll just sell it on eBay.  I don't think I'd have a problem selling it for retail.... I'll take photos soon to show you gals!

You ordered the medium coral right? If you decide to sell the AE one I'd be interested in buying it. It would get here sooner then if I ordered from AE myself. I'm on a waiting list at 2 Chicago boutiques but they are not sure if they are getting in coral and I cannot wait any longer! Let me know if you are interested!

Colette, I wrote Active yesterday asking for an estimated ship date and they replied today with a "we aren't sure".  They "think" by May. 
I have no problem selling mine to you.  However, if you order it straight from them it would be cheaper for you because you can use the Jessica code and save 20%.  I paid retail for one of the bags so I'd like to recoup that from the bag I sell.  Let me know what you think, ok?

I'll order directly from them then and get the 20% off. Though I'm hoping one of these boutiques in Chicago gets in the one I want. Thanks anyways though. Post a pic of yours when you can. Can't wait to see it!
