What are some fun stuff to do on Fri and Sat. Night that does not revolve around drinking? Any ideas? Oh and there are no events in my area going on that I would want to go to.

Bowling, movies, dinner party at your or your friend's house(of course no drinking),also, depending on where you live, maybe outside in a park or walking around town sightseeing--highly recommend this--something my boyfriend and i do, he lives in DC and the Mall and other monuements is so nice(and quiet!!) at night.

Kel, I ask myself this question allll the time.  I get so sick of going out and doing the usual (drinking, clubbing, movies, eating, coffee, etc).  I say to my freinds and my bf "is there anything to do that doesn't involve consuming food/drinks?"  And I don't care for bowling, excersize classes or anything along these lines.

One thing my bf and I did that made going to a bar more fun and intresting is play hide and seek while at the bar.  He hid and I walked around the bar looking for him. And then I hid and he looked for me.  I was peeking out from under the table cloth watching him look under pool tables and stuff.  There were random people at the table I was hiding under and they totally acted nochalant so my bf couldnt find me. heehee.  It took him forever to find me.  It was sooo funny.  But you have to hide in one place and are not allowd to move until whoever your playing with finds you.  Okay I know this sounds a bit weird but it was fun while drunk. Uuuuh duh....That involved drinking.  Ugh darn it!

karaoke? I'm too afraid of making an ass of myself to drink but they usually take place at bars, so I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for or not.

Game night with friends? or a poker tourney? I like all night poker games with friends - those are fun. The games usually involve drinking for me and my friends but they don't have to. You're more like to win everyone else's money if you're sober anyway!

i love game nights with friends... or just getting a pizza and some great flicks that you haven't seen yet... that is always fun too.

i really hate bowling, but have actually had a lot of fun going with friends.  i just admit that i'm terrible at it and then i can be goofy, and i actually got a strike once when i barely even looked where the ball was going.  so the surprises are fun.  also they usually have little arcades so you can play a few silly games too.  when the weather's nice, miniature golf is also a lot of fun.

what i end up doing most often when i'm looking for a low key weekend evening is plan a big meal that takes a while to cook and my fiance and i hang out in the kitchen, cooking and drinking wine (but the wine is of course, not necessary).  put on some fun loungy music and just chop vegetables and chat.  the other thing i like to do is go to Borders and read magazines, browse the new books, and listen to samples of CDs.  maybe that's not your thing, but i could spend hours there.

Me, too! I think bookstores were created to increase my happiness in this life. I was just discussing how this is one of my favorite ways to spend a saturday or sunday.
