Okay, there are a number of things I don't understand on Facebook and hope you all can help.

1)  What is the (Lil) Green Patch?  I do not understand.

2)  What is the purpose of a poke?  Again, I do not understand.

3)  Is it just me or does the status that I entered on my Blackberry not show up on my homepage when I log in on my computer?

I worry that lil green patch is a phishing scam, so I never click on them.  I think it's the equivalent of "buying a star."

Poke is a way to flirt with someone without saying it straight out.

The new homepage sux.  Unless it's a refreshing issue, I noticed that I--too--have to go to my actual profile to see what I just posted.

I dunno. I wish they would just leave things alone over there. I am constantly getting invitations to add something to my profile or complete a quiz and I just don't get it nor do I have time.

Poking I equate with poking a friend in real life. Nothing special but gets their attention.

EWWW! really? Cause I've poked my brother and cousins! giggle.gif

I don't think everyone views it as flirting. I see it as "hi there", or like poking your kids or siblings in a playing around way

lil green patch supposedly contributes toward saving land.  I'm not really sure what the revenue structure is, but that's what they claim. a few st'ers have them, including me, as well as the water one that's affiliated with it.

the purpose of a poke is to engage a friend in a non-verbal way.  think of it as when you were in kindergarten and a boy that liked you pulled your hair. that's the best explanation I can come up with.

can't help you with the blackberry business...
