I really like it.  I have a Banana Republic bag that I bought two years ago and it is the same shape and I still love it and use it all the time.  It is not too big, not too small and easy to carry.

i like it and i actually like the chain - i think it gives it some interesting texture.  i'd just let it hang and use the other straps.  very cute!

I love this bag, however, whenever I have light colored bags they always get ruined.
I had a bag that was a similar color (with a chocolate brown handle, it was gorgeous) that I wore with a pair of jeans and the indigo rubbed off and stained it. So sad cry

Are J Crew bags good quality?

I think it is a good all around bag but I'm not sure on that price. I've never bought J Crew handbags before so I am not familiar with the quality but based on the few clothing items I've bought I probably wouldn't spend that much on a bag.

I like it a lot. In the picture the chain looks kinda cheap, but I'll bet it looks better in person--JCrew is pretty good on details.

Ok it's gone up to $395, so I have to wait for a code and not just free shipping. I hate to order it then not like it since it site and catalog exclusive I can't see it first. Can I still order from the red phone in the store and get free shipping? I would love to just see it in person to really decide. 

It seems at this point I'm trying to talk myself out of it and failing...even at the $395 price point!  Help me girls, almost $400 for a J.Crew bag?!!  Tell me there will be a code, some will be left when it goes on sale, anything...talk me down

The satchel version went on sale, so I'm thinking that this will go on sale soon too. $400 is kind of a lot for a J.Crew bag imo.  If you really can't stand the wait, you can order it through the red phone in store and get free shipping.

DON'T DO IT!!! It will absolutely go on sale again, probably when the extra 30% off sale items ends. J Crew always does this for certain items during a % off sale.

I agree...I'm sure they took it off sale because of the extra30 code and will put it back on later.
