Metallic wedge from Seychelles? Do we like?

I think I saw Summer from the OC wearing these in a magazine spread. They are from Seychelles and $65.95. Are they as cute as the Mayle wedges I have been lusting for? What do we think?

they look a little too bright, which makes them look kind of cheap/tacky. They might be cute in person though.

Hmmm, I like them.  They aren't as hot as the Mayle's but I think they'd be nice summer shoes and I've heard that Seychelles are comfortable.

dot- what magazine was it?  I like the shoes- I just wish they had different colors.  I saw them on the Seychelles site a while ago but never in a store.  Good job finding them!  Now I want them sort of.

Do you think the black is boring?  Was summer wearing the gold ones?  How did they look on her?  I already have metallic silver Marc flats and silver space boots- are the silver/gold wedges too much metallic?

I got those shoes in Natural, ofcourse I would rather have the Mayle wedges, but can't afford those right now. These shoes are a good alternative. I like them in Natural the most,the black looks a little cheap and the metallic is a little shiny. They are comfy and the price isn't so bad, but I got them for $57 at a boutique near me.

I saw that spread too and fell in love with those shoes! But I don't know, they looked waaay better on Rachel Bilson in the magazine pic than here...

that's what made me search for them. i haven't seen them IRL - sorry lynnie I can't for the life of me remember which magazine it was... maybe Elle Girl? I think probably Elle Girl.

I may check them out in black. I am waiting for the Mayles to come in! They are metallic blue and pink (sounds tacky.. and it is.. but in a cute way). I know they will be glued to my feet this summer and spring.

dot- when do the mayles come in?  Do you know the price? Was it you that I had this conversation with on fashionhag a few months ago?  they were on kirsten dunst in the september or august allure...On second look, I don't really like the black ones as much.  Fashionfreak- you say that they are comfy?  Were the metallic ones cute even though they were shiny?

Lynnie what size are you? They have alot of cool colors in the store but none in my size, 36. The blue and pink ones are new for this season, but the ones I really like red and snakeskin, cream with metallic, black suede with gold, are all not in my size :(

They are $350 and they ship to where-ever if you are not in NYC. I called the store yesterday and they said they should have the blue and pink by the end of this week (but that's what I heard two weeks ago.. so who knows!).

I actually don't have a problem with them, they're cute. I would prefer it if it were just gold as opposed to the mixing of colors.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH you are in luck! they probably have all the colors in your size. even the TO DIE FOR black suede with gold trim. yes, they are really comfy and I definitely suggest getting it snug because they stretch.

call up the store. they are really nice. i think the hottest colors are (in order of hotness):


  • Black Suede with Gold
  • Red with Snakeskin
  • Cream with Bronze


I think they have other ones that are closed-heel and a purple and tan suede one.

I"m just scared to order $350 shoes sight unseen.  Do you think they could send me pictures?  What if they don't fit.  I vaguely remember a flower detail on kirsten's shoes (were hers the cream bronze ones?  I liked those I think).  haha, sorry for my ramblings, but I don't want to miss out forever!

I think Kirsten dunst in Allure had the grey or black with snakeskin. But I know that she owns very single color of Mayle wedges. I think the flower detail you're thinknig of is more of an asterics that is stitched on the shoe.




Also I jsut wanted to mention that I think they allow you to return them if you're unsatisfied. I heard the SA telling someone that while I was in the store.

They were cute, but I guess I'm tired of gold now, I didn't even try them on my feet. I tried the black and the natural.
