I am planning to wear this top with this yellow skirt so which color of top should I get?  They are both on backorder until April 15 so I can't order until then.

What other color do you think I should go with?  I thought about playing it safe with a ss white sweater and some coral jewelry, but I am not so sure.

i think that skirt would look great with white and coral.  you could also do a navy/white seersucker top or blazer with it.

i voted for the brown top, because i think it will go better with the yellow than the blue will, but i honestly think the white/coral idea is better.

I honestly don't like either of them with that skirt.  The colors just don't seem quite right for it especially since I have seen them in person.  The blue color is really pretty.  The online photo doesn't do it justice.  The brown is nice though.

Also, I really see this top as being a pants/capris type of top.  I just can't see it with a skirt.

I voted brown, but I'm with the others who say white and coral. I usually love brown and yellow together, but this skirt is kind of a goldish so I think that with brown the color combo might feel a bit 70's.

But I know you love that top because you've been posting about it for awhile, so I think you should get it even though you may not wear it with that skirt. If you do decide to just buy the top, I really like it in blue.

I had not thought of the navy/white seersucker idea.  That is what I love about this thread--I would never come up with these ideas on my own.  Do you know where I could find a top of blazer with the navy/white?  I still may do the white/coral but I already have a white ss sweater that really would not work.  It is a cable ss sweater and somehow I think that pattern together with the pattern in this skirt would be too much.   I would have to buy another ss white sweater.  I found one I like for just $29, and a cute coral necklace for about $16--but the navy and white intrigues me.

I will probably end up breaking the bank and getting that top anyway in blue even though all of you have convinced me that neither looks too good with the skirt.  It is such a beautiful top!!!

The more I think about it, I like the coral/white idea.  That rocks.  I think the seersucker blazer you posted paired with the skirt will be a little too teacher-ish (not in a good way)

Something like this jacket could possibly work.  Maybe others could comment on it if I am way off base.  This is from JCP, but I have seen others similar to it:

Those shirt colors are too muted for the bright color of that skirt. I would go with a bluer shade of blue, if you wanted to go with a blue.  pergola shellsequined cap sleeve topracerback stitch tankclara tankbernhardt sleeveless tunic

Or a white top with a print that has a blue, green and yellow would work as well. campesino crewneckoh susanna teesea flower surplice topfloral mesh sweetheartsplash tee

Also a cream top would help calm the brightness of the yellow as well.spiced lace tanksilkweed mesh tankfields of heather tee

How about the gray/white or the coral/white seasucker from F21? It might go well with that skirt.  I like the white and coral idea also.

I think shoes would be a great way to add color.  Don't you have the cute blueish gianni bini ones?

ejc423, hmmm I am liking your idea with the gianni bini shoes I have.

seashells, I never thought of a patterned top since the skirt has sort of a jacquard pattern in it but I am really liking those tops.

Thanks so much everybody.  Now I have lots to think about.
