thanks for your help, everyone! I actually had my eye on both pairs for quite a while and couldn't believe how much they were marked down when I stumbled on them this evening! ...and I couldn't find a code for the life of me... oh well.


a lot of the Paloma Barcelo shoes and boots are drastically marked down

ok - not only did I get a great deal, but they overnighted them to me? I just ordered them last night and they sent me an e-mail this morning telling me I'll get them today... wow


"Good news!

Although you originally ordered Standard (4 to 5 business days) shipping
and handling, we have given your order special priority processing in
our warehouse so that your order will ship out today, and your order
should be delivered in 1 Business Day (from today) instead.  Business
days are Mondays through Fridays, except holidays, so your order should be

Zappos did that for me the last time I ordered from them as well. It was a nice surprise!

I am shocked.  I just received both pairs of boots and I ordered them like 15 hours ago? it appears that their distribution center is in Kentucky, but still... I can't believe I have them already!!!!!!!


review - the gold ones are definitely the shade of a brand spanking new penny - I love them - they're different from all the gold and silver that there is so much of out there... I also like that they have a rustic whipstiched construction - it's a nice juxtapositon to the metallic leather.  and I love the reviews on zappos - they were right - I ordered a size up and they fit perfectly.  very very pleased... I wear a 39/9 and ordered a 10/40


review - the black ones are so freaking hot - the heel is burnished metal as is the buckle - they fit beautifully and are sexy as hell. I'll get a ton of wear out of these. and they're comfy too. actually, both pairs are comfy on me. I ordered my actual size 39/9 like the reviews suggested - so even though they are both the same maker the styles fit differently.

Those boots are *hot* Detroit!  How are you going to wear the black ones so that the buckle shows?  It looks like jeans would cover them
