Shoes sliding off heels
Permalink Closed

My feet are wider at the toe and narrow at the heel so shoes tend to slip off the back on me (especially heels.)  I used to be able to buy heel grips at Target but they don't seem to carry them any more. I tried foot gel cushions but it doen't seem to help.  Any suggestions?

I wish I had a solution for you, I have the same exact problem! I call them "duck feet," and they're the bane of my shoe shopping existence.

Have you tried looking for heel grips anywhere else? I recently found some at Payless. I'm sure there are some at most shoe stores

AH!!!  A term for my problem as well!  Glad to have it finally diagnosed!

Boots - not sure the solution - I tend to like slingbacks  and flats for that practical reason.

I wear a lot of flats because of this. Mary Janes work well too, especially with higher heels. Slingbacks always seem to fall off though.

I'm going to make a trip to Payless this weekend and see if they have the heel grips. Then I'll buy them in bulk.smile

Hmm...I got them at Target within the last 9 months.  Maybe a big, well-stocked drug store.

double-sided tape works well too - that Hollywood fashion tape.
