Becoming impatient...to grow or not to grow out bangs?
Permalink Closed

So I've been wanting to grow my side swept bangs and make them one with the longest length of my graduated bob. Everytime they get checkbone length I feel like the ruin the "look" of my haircut and I cut them again; I'm at that point now. Do you think it's worth fighting that urge and keep trying to grow them? Please see my stylethreads for pics if you need reference. Help me if I should grow them I need someone to encourage my willpower...

I say resist the urge! It's hard to grow out any haircut without going through an awkward phase. This is yours. If you cut them again, you'll just have to do this over and over! I mean, there's no way to do this except to just push through the awkward phase. You'll have to do it sooner or later smile.gif

Can you french braid?

French braiding your bangs into a Lauren Conrad style-braid is cute way to grow them out.

Do not cut!! Yes they are driving you nuts now but that will be over soon. Also increase your vitamins, minerals, veggies, and fruit intake and they will grow even faster.

Pretty soon you'll be able to tuck them behind your ear and at that point you might find the length less annoying. I think the Lauren Conrad french braid is adorable and am planning on doing that as soon as I get my roots done! I also think pulling bangs back with a whimsical barrette (sp?) can look really cute. I have one that has a small ladybug on it that I like to wear. It might break up the monotony a little and make growing them out a little more bearable.

I got a  few small clips for this very issue (we have the same haircut smile.gif).  Mine just slid in, so I use them to tuck my bangs up under the rest of my hair a bit - they end up looking sort of like they would if you tucked them behind your ear and then the longer hair fell over them.  Does that makes sense?  Anyhow, makes growing them out a breeze because they're not in your face all the time!

I'm at the same point right now. I often do a braid like Metric was talking about. It's so hard to fight the urge, but it'll be worth it. Like Kelly said, if you cut them you'll just go through the same thing again later.
