Hey!  Not near Tokyo, about 400 miles north.  It's in a pretty mountainous region.  Yes, we'll have an APO, Commissary, all that.  The base is pretty full up.  Movie theater, B/X, recreation, schools, everything you really need.  Having the APO is huge.  It's such a pain to not have it.  We dont' know when we leave.  We leave here in June (yay!) and may be living out of suitcases for a while.  DH didn't fly here, so he needs to be re-qualified in the jet.


Thanks for all the well wishes everyone!  Ever since we left Italy in 2004, we've been wanting another overseas assignment!  We're pretty happy.

 Awesome!  I'll definitly let you know if I have questions.  Were you at Okinawa?  We'll be @ Misawa.  They're pretty far away from each other!

I was at Atsugi NAS, which isn't far from Yokohama/Tokyo.  Right after I transferred, my unit had a homeport change and everyone attached had to transfer to Misawa.  My best friend was up there for a couple of years - she really liked it, even with all the snow!
