random geography question

forgive me if this is really obvious, but i suck at geography. is berkeley, ca really far from la? like if i were to go to school in berkeley could i live/work in l.a. or is that impossible? tia for putting up with my stupidity.

Berkeley is just outside of San Francisco, so it's about 350 or 400 miles from LA.  Your commute would be about 5 hours, each way.
