Another Self Tanner Question

Any tricks for what to use on hands.  After applying, I know it says to wash hands with soap and water but then you have white hands and darker arms.  But I've noticed it appears blotchy on the hands when I try to put it on lightly.  It's almost time for me to start Mystic Tanning (Waiting for a little warmer weather, so I don't waist my money) but I'm trying to go ahead a add a little color. Thanks!!

I've heard of putting a really thin layer of moisturizer on your hands to help it apply smoothly and not be too dark.  I've also heard of using makeup sponges to apply it and blend it in so you don't get streaks or orange palms.

I have my boyfriend put it on the tops of my hands for me - that way I don't get it on my palms.

Yeah, I have my husband do my back.  Do you just put it on thin or what and what about your fingers and stuff??  Sorry to be so difficult, I just don't remember having this problem last year?? But I'm trying a foam instead of the lotion and not sure if it's better or worse??

I have my boyfriend just rub it into the tops of my hands w/his hands.  He rubs in on my fingers too, in a thin layer, making sure not to touch my nails or the palms of my hands.  It's worked really well so far.

I personally hate the foam self-tanners, I prefer lotion - but that's just me.  If you haven't read my other post yet - you should try that Jergen's Natural Glow - it's the best stuff I've ever used!
