To Keep or Not To Keep? (w/pics)
Permalink Closed

Okay, I ordered these on E-bay and was trying them on last night to decide if I wanted to keep them or return them.  They're not hemmed so it would be easy to shorten the length if needed.  Honest Opinions Please!! (Please ignore how white I am - Gotta head to the Mystic Tan Tonight!!)

I think you look very cute!!!  Also, turquoise and chocolate brown is one of my favorite color combos.

Honestly, I would say return them. I think that even if they are shortened, they are too baggy for your petite little frame. I think something more tailored would be better for you. Maybe something like below. I know it's not as trendy, and I agree that the idea of those pants is cute, but I don't think it's for everyone.

Try safety pinning them to the length you want them to be and see how that looks on you.  Also I like the shirt but I think its too long for those pants.

lsubatgirl - Yeah, I agree on the shirt being too long with the pants.  I hadn't decided what kind of top to wear with them (If I keep them) so I just threw that one on for the pic.

Hmmmmm, you could really go either way.  If you keep them, I would try pairing them with a fitted top and maybe a cropped cardi/shrug/blazer and heels.  They look like they might overwhelm your petite frame if paired with anything else even slightly oversized.  If you decide to return them and look for others, something that's cut slimmer through the upper thigh might make them more wearable/versatile for you.

If you would be having them hemmed, could the leg be taken in too without ruining the line?

I say try them on with another top so we can get a better idea of how they truly look on.  I agree perhaps you can go either way but hard to say without seeing them with something else.

I say return them, and find something more tailored (like what Lisa posted).

Yeah, I'm leaning more towards returning them.  I bought a black pair that is less wide and more tailored that look great.  I'm wearing them to a personal shower I'm hosting Sunday with this really pretty blue turquoise cami and shirt that wraps around and ties (hard to describe) that I picked up at Limited yesterday.  I'll post a pic Monday.

rar, these are the ones from offmelrose right?  If you don't mind me asking what size did you purchase(s,m,l) and what # size pants do you wear?  I ordered a pair of these from them and I'm wondering if I ordered the wrong size.

I agree, you'd look better in a more tailored pant.
