i think they're cute and would be pretty versatile in the summer.  i could see them paired with white, grey, green, orange, brown, or navy.

You asked if they are versatile. Yes, I think so. They don't scream "spectacularly special" but they are a basic style in a cute color. If they were in my closet I'd probably get good wear out of them. If they're inexpensive I can see getting your money's worth out of them. But the side fabric will probably get dirty if it rains, or if you walk on a lot of grass, etc. HTH.
