We haven't done one of these threads in a while. Here goes....

I had a really hot dream that I made out with my neighbor. I have no idea why, he's totally a longhaired potsmoker jam-band kind of guy.
Then today I saw him in the hall while I was doing laundry and I got so embarrassed I couldn't even respond when he said Hi. ashamed

Tomorrow is Day 1 of my new, healthy lifestyle... today I ate a whole bag of Cool Ranch Doritos. And a pint of Ben & Jerry's. And half a box of mac & cheese. Now I feel like I could explode.

I deleted one of my roommates shows the other day because she was pissing me off so much. I then told her the dvr must have malfunctioned. I know it was bitchy, but I really don't care. evileye

I went to the gym, did 40mins on the treadmill, 15mins on the elliptical, came home and ate my own body weight in peanut butter chocolate chip cookie dough.

After a huge shopping ban/frustrating house search, I decided to reward myself with a hot pink bag for my bday. I have been scouring ebay for the perfect one. I found two I'm watching and will get one of them. In the meantime I ran into this beautiful metallic grey clutch that I have no business getting. Well, I impulse-bought it just now. And I'm still getting the pink bag darn it! Posting it in wkd. shopping...

Even though I wish her the best, and I gave her ALL my info - I'm a little miffed that my friend is getting married at our same hotel, with all my same vendors, etc, and wanted the entire Cliff Notes (or Spark notes nowadays) version of planning a wedding - and we never even got a gift or card from her for not coming to our destination wedding.

I feel really petty about it and feel guilty that I feel that way.

When people ask me how business is, I have been understating things so I don't feel like a schmuck for saying "great! we're soooo busy!"

I feel totally guilty that people are losing their jobs while DH and I have not yet been affected by the economy in any meaningful way. If anything we're doing really well at the moment. (Knock wood.)

I feel guilty for complaining about having so much work to do when some don't have any. I feel guilty for even posting this here since I know some of you have lost jobs too.

I haven't exercised in over a week, and I've been eating a lot of junk food lately.

First thing tomorrow morning, I have to call to cancel my appt. with the doctor for my biopsy report because I don't have $30 extra bucks for the copay.

i let my kids watch way too much tv (i.e. dora, blues clues, thomas, etc.) in general.  i used to be really cognizant about the amt of tv that they watch, but now that we are living in a tiny little temporary two bedroom apt w/o all of their big toys, i've been slacking and letting them watch way too much.  even worse, i do it so that i can get on the internet, like right now . . . wow i am terrible.  i must step away from the computer and do activities with them today (a snow day) - such as playdough, games, tea parties, etc.  i feel so bad b/c i love my kids sooo much.

Oh, I am sooo guilty of this... and I don't have the excuse of a small apartment :)  But we need our time too, and at least it's educational tv, right?  Xzavier sometimes literally cries when I turn the tv off.  And I do play with him, but there is only so much attention span of a 21 month old.  Plus when the weather warms up, it'll be much easier to go outside and do activities... and if we're outside I won't feel like I should be doing housework.  Anyway, just wanted you to know you're not alone and not to be so hard on yourself... the amount of tv or no tv does not reflect your love for your child/kids :)

thanks, fshionprincess!  that really helps - i know i need time to myself, i just feel so guilty when i don't play with them.  you're right -i think it will be much easier when the weather is nice and we can go outside.  in a few minutes i am going to take them outside to play in the snow - that should make all of us feel better :)

When I first started my job I was really busy and working a half hour to an hour past 5 everyday, and getting in right at 8.  My boss was like, "hey, you are working really hard and staying late, you don't have to get here right at 8:00"  So at first I would come in at 8:30 and still work late some days.  Now things are at a steady pace and I don't need to work late, but I come in at like 8:45 and leave at 5:00 on the dot pretty much every day.  I know I am totally taking advantage of this but I won't stop unless my boss says anything.  I am pregnant so it's really hard to get up in the morning now days, but no one at work knows that yet so I can't use it as an excuse.

I already do this!! Kate is only 5 months old and she watches Franklin while I get dressed in the mornings.  She doesn't watch it consistently, but if she drops her toy or gets bored with the mobile-tye things on the bouncy seat...she watches!  Otherwise, it would take me two hours to get dressed everyday.

Don't feel bad!!  And those shows really are amazing, I used to babysit a girl that learned so much from those shows.

AND...you have to read this blog post......

I'm not divorced yet.............but I have a new boyfriend.

I refer to my future ex as the drunken sloth. But only to the dog.

Definitely don't feel bad.  I think my daughter has seen every Dora episode in existence and she has changed Gabby's (our dog's), name to Yo Gabba Gabba, which is her other favorite (and mine, too!).  I also felt bad until I realized how much she was learning from these shows.  She sings the songs and does the dances and could count to 10 in Spanish before she was 2.  She's learned lots of other stuff, too - most of these shows are really geared to their development and actually work.

My shameful confession: I've been reading Twilight. It's horrible and I hate it, but I can't stop reading it. I hate the role the girl plays in the book and I hate all the "don't have sex" crap, but I just can't stop reading hoping they'll kiss again! I'm sad and pathetic. I'll probably delete this sooner rather than later.
