Shoe Question (Toddler Boys)
Permalink Closed

Hope you don't mind me posting this here.  I tend to buy more clothes/shoes for Hayden then I do myself these days!
Around here, and this may be only around here, I'm seeing LOTS of people both old and young wearing "boat shoes" instead of tennis shoes.  I guess they're a little "dressier".  I've been buying Hayden basically everything in the toddler boy section at Baby Gap and got to thinking about what shoes he'll be wearing with the clothes.  Basically for shoes I always buy him Nike Shox (Tennis Shoes), Timberland (dressier shoes), & Gap (Flip Flops).  I came across these and thought they were cute.  What do you think??

I think that makes an adorable outfit! I tend to say "aww" at any teeny, tiny shoes, but I really do think that those are cute and a nice alternative to tennis shoes.

love those - those are so cute, maybe i should pick some up for my son.  i would be slightly concerned about their ability to stay on though (b/c there is no closure on them) - although they look like they probably would be fine.

i, too, buy a bunch of stuff at baby gap for my 2 yr old boy.  fyi my favorite shoes on him are from there - they are navy blue converse shoes - they look ADORABLE on him and he loves them.  i liked them so much i bought them in a size up so that he will have another pr immediately when he outgrows his current ones!  here's a pic:

FP - i bet the brown is really cute - do you have to tie them often??  i worry about putting my little guy in shoes i'd have to tie - he'd be all over the place!

I was worried about the ties too, but he sits real still while I put them on (he loves putting shoes on anyway) and then I just double tie them and they stay put all day long.  Oh, and I generally let him hold one shoe while I put the other on, gives him something to do and makes him feel like he's helping :)

Hayden's always worn shoes that tie so I guess I never really thought about that being a problem. He's just always known that he needs to sit still and allow me to put on his shoes and then he can run around. I usually double knot them so that they're not constantly coming untied. But if they do, he'll come over to me and allow me to tie them.
Thanks for the opinions on these!!

I guess I should add, Hayden BIG on shoes. He LOVES shoes. He always has, I think he gets it from him Mommy!! If you take him to pick out tennis shoes, you can bet he's picking out the most expensive pair in the store, he's gonna kill me when his foot gets bigger!!
