I have been thinking on having one done for a long time .  I know I will have to wait for income tax next year b/c insurance does not cover it and this yr I want to pay my car off and get my varicose veins  worked on. I do not want nothing huge, a large b would be nice. I have been doing some reading on the subject, but would like some tips, advice from anyone who has had one. I rather get advice from you all than strangerssmile  Thanks in advance

what questions do you have? I'd get a good doctor and it usually a fairly safe procedure

Thanks ladies. Should I go with saline or silcone? I heard that under the muscle is the best to go, is that true? How is the recovery time? Do you have to go in every so often to get them checked or refilled?

I went with Saline but that's all a personal choice. Depending on the size of your breasts now (A or B) I'd definitely go under the muscle or you'll get ripples where you'll see the implant under the breast tissue. Not good.
My recovery time may be different becuase I also had a lift but do keep in mind you cannot lift anything heavy for I think it was a month (i.e. a baby).
You don't need to get them refilled or checked unless there is a problem but implants do not last forever and will eventually need to either be taken out or replaced.
My best advice to you is research research research. Look and go see a bunch of different Dr. before deciding on one. They must make you feel comfortable and not pressure you into a size you don't want.

I have silicon and LOVE them - very natural feeling and NO ripples as mentioned above. I have girl friends that got saline and regretted it because they feel like water balloons.

I did not go under the muscle so I had very little pain or down time compared to my friends that did go under the muscle. My doctor recommends over the muscle and had many pictures of both to show the naturalness. I thought the over the muscle looks more natural, but if you are very flat to begin with, maybe the other option is better for you. Also, when I lift my arm to "make a muscle" my brests don't get all weird looking like I've seen in pics of the under the muscle kind.
