Stain on dress
Permalink Closed

I bought this cute mauve pink, lace v-neck dress from one of my Thrift Stores one day last week. By one of the buttons, it has a 'stain' (not sure WHAT it is), that I TRIED to get out when I washed clothes on Thursday, to no avail.cry I used the HEB brand version of Shout, but is there something else out there I could use? I really would like to KEEP this dress, fits me like a glove.

Any laundering suggestions?

Thanks!

If you can't get the stain out, maybe you could try dying it a darker color to disguise the stain?

LOL! Funny you should mention that, b/c I thought about dying it black, that way the stain WON'T show, but mauve is ONE of the pinks I actually like! LOL

Is it close enough to the buttons that if you put on large buttons (and adjusted the button holes) that it would cover?

have you tried oxy powder?  sometimes it works well for me if I wet the stain, pour on a little powder, rub in a bit, wet it again and let it dry on overnight.

another option might be colorsafe bleach...but remember not ever to use colorsafe bleach and oxy together, they will bleach out the color.
