Has anyone else tried argan oil?

A while back I was looking at the "natural/organic" section on Sephora's website, and stumbled into Josie Maran's argan oil. Here is what it said...

Argan Oil
What it is:
A lightweight oil that can be used as a daily moisturizer and skin treatment.

What it does:
Josie Maran Argan Oil is a legendary oil that's rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, and grown organically in Morocco. Argan oil is known to have many treatment benefits, including hydrating and nourishing skin, as well as toning and firming. It's gentle enough to use on all skin types and is believed to help with skin conditions including acne.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Synthetic Fragrance
- Synthetic Dye
- Petro-Chemicals
- Phthalates

What else you need to know:
The oil is housed in a recyclable glass bottle, and purchased from women's cooperatives in Morocco to support their social and economic welfare. These cooperatives work within a UNESCO biosphere reserve that ensures the protection and reforestation of Argan trees.

Size: 2 oz ($48)
Argan Oil

I started using an Argan Oil I bought on Amazon (still 100% argan, no fancy packaging, cheaper though!) and I am liking it. It smells a little funny when applying, but goes away. It seems to be helping my winter skin.

Has anyone else tried it? It is supposed to do so much good for the skin.

I have the bottle posted above but rarely use it. I agree it smells almost slightly like vomit but is faint enough to ignore. Ive heard such great stuff about it as well and even read it being recommended for people who suffer from acne.

I'm going to try to add a drop or two to my moisturizer in the AM so that I can work it into my routine.

I put it on under my moisturizer. It is too soon to tell if it is really working as it claims. I've also heard putting it on the scalp is good, but it seems like I'd waste too much since my hair would absorb so much.

Have you tried that, XtinaStyles?

HMMM I just did a google search and found that its good for psoriasis and eczema... I'm going to try this oil on just about everything!

greendiamond, I've never thought to use on the scalp and I'd worry about wasting so much product but sometimes I get dry patches throughout, I'm going to try using it on those spots. Will keep everyone posted. I love beauty experiments.
