I like this necklace from Banana Republic, but it's $78 and I have been spending this kind of money on crappy jewelry for some time. So all I have in my jewelry box are a pair of diamond earrings (gift) and all this crappy jewlery essentially worth nothing.  But, I certainly haven't been able to bring myself to spend any kind of money on real jewelry, so maybe I should just get it.  I don't know.  What do you think?

i think it is cute but i wouldn't spend that much money on it...unless you know you are going to wear it A LOT and that you'll have it for awhile...if you really like the style i'm sure you could find something similar for much cheaper...if you are looking into investing into some more expensive jewelry, i would go with something classic that you know will last a long time and never go out of style--- i voted to wait till it goes on sale

I would wait til there's a sale. I love BR's jewelry myself, but most of the time I won't pay full price. $78 is a bit too much for something not real. I'm pretty sure that this necklace will eventually go on sale at a better price. Most things at BR do. Cute necklace BTW!

I REALLY like that necklace but not at $78, at least not from BR. I'd wait until it goes on sale and if all else fails, you could wear a bunch of necklaces together to create the same kind of look. I do that all the time and I always get compliments.

I really like that necklace, and I don't think $78 is THAT bad for costume jewelry.  However, It is made of gold plated brass.  It depends on your skin and the climate you live in, but for me anything gold plated lasts about two wears before the gold starts chipping off.  Just something else you might want to take into consideration...

I adore the juxtaposition of chains and pearls, but $78 is just too much for BR jewelry. I have a hard time paying for it on sale...just not worth the price they want.
