I am an expert on this topic. I could probably scare you with how much I know on frozen foods. I like them because I hate to cook just for myself and there's perfect portion control. Here are my favorites...
1. Amy's Organic anything. My vegetarian mom turned me onto these any everything this company makes is good. The frozen pizzas, lasagna, burritos, mac & cheese are SO good but my favorite are the enchiladas. Amy's makes great soups too.
2. I like both Weight Watchers Smart Ones and Lean Cuisines, but I think Smart Ones usually taste better. Both make good pasta, grain meals... the meat ones can vary on good to sketchy. Lean Cuisine has a new Spinach and 4 cheese pizza that is awesome though.
3. I don't like Healthy Choice anything. I think the food is bland and all tastes the same.
4. I also love Birdseye Chicken Voila... it's a bag of stirfry that you just throw it in a skillet and heat it up. They have lots of mixes like Garlic Chicken, and herb Chicken with pasta. Since it's by Birdseye there are a lot of good vegtables in it.
I second the trader joe's reccomendation- especially the Indian meals. If you are looking for something lighter, I like Michelean's Lean Gourmet...so much better than Lean Cuisine or SmartOnes and they often go on sale for like a dollar each.
I also agree that Healthy choice sucks! I bought one dinner and it was missing the chicken! I was majorly pissed.
I like the lean cuisine french bread pizza. If you have 5-10 minutes the chicken and shrimp voilas are good. They are frozen and usually have 3 servings per bag and usually not too high in calories and fat. They are ok for refreezing after you make them or refrigerating them. If you have some time to precook stuff and portion it out in smaller containers it will help you and give you some variety.
I eat Lean Cuisines all the time, almost every day for work. I disagree with SFCline (sorry!) about Smart Ones being better. I don't like Smart Ones and think that LC's are much better. Here are my 2 absolute favorites:
What I normally do for a meal is bring a LC and one package of Nabisco's "100 Calorie Packs" crackers (wheat thins or cheese nips-these are low fat and really good), eat them together and add a diet soda. HTH!

Totally agree about Amy's products. They are all very very good but my favorites are the lasagnas and the burritos. In specific, the tofu lasagna rocks!
I also like Heaven's Bistro pizzas for low-fat pizzas, sold at Trader Joe's.
I really like Michalangelo's frozen dinners, especially their chicken parmesian. And I agree with Trader Joe's, they are awesome! They have the best stir fry's, but I can't think of the specific name. It's bowtie pasta with veggies and the best seasoning.
I am going to get stoned to death by the Health Police, but I absolutely adore Budget Gourmet. My favorites are the angel hair pasta with meat sauce and the spicy szechuan noodles. They cost me $.89 and they're my favorite lunch

Just had the tofu lasanga for the first time and I've gotta agree with Joina - it rocks! And I'm usually very picky about frozen meals.
Uncle Ben's Noodle Bowls.. the asian flavors r yummy! I always get the Spicy Peanut Chicken or the Thai curry... They used to have an Alfredo Shrimp noodle bowl but I haven't been able to find it lately..

Yeah! my bf hates tofu, he has no idea that he sometimes eats the tofu lasagna
I love trader joes frozen food! Also Mrs.Paul's used to make an amzing eggplant parm but I have not been able to find it anywhere and come up with nothing when googling it was so delicious though I lived on them for months!
