They are super cute, I love them too.  However, if you already have a bunch of shoes in that color range, I'd look for more colorful shoes and wait until these go on sale.

Luckylily, If you have been watching them since they came out then you very well should know that they should go on sale any day now.  That being said I was absolutely devasted when the shoes sold out in the fall and stalked the site everyday until I saw they got in another shipment.  I bought them immediately and that was only January or February, so I certainly couldn't wait for the sale.

I have a small sad story to add. I haven't had my shoes for at least 2.5-3 weeks because my cobbler is holding them hostage (kidding).  I had only wore them like two or three times when the peg on the heel wore right off so I took it in to get replaced and then I asked him to tighten the straps (they didn't stay on for a single step).  They were never ready when I called.  Finally, I called last week on Wed and he told me to pick them up Thurs. afternoon, but I was busy and couldn't get in.  He was closed Fri and Sat for the holiday and yesterday it was raining too hard for me to even want to go out so today I am finally picking them up and I miss them more than ever.  They are my favorite shoes and they do go with a lot.

Whether you wait for the sale or not, definately get them.

I don't know why I called you luckylily.  Sorry.

I just picked up my shoes from the cobbler. He left me with a strict warning.  Shoes hand made of wood are very delicate and should not be worn on hard surfaces like pavement.  He said even walking from the car to work is a stretch.  I asked him about walking to the post office (I often do) and he said that was out of the question.  He said they shouldn't be worn often.  I am pretty let down and now plan on wearing different shoes to and from work and slipping them on in the office -carpeted area.  Just thought you would like to know how delicate the shoes are.  PS.  The repair work cost me another $30 on top of what I paid.  Considering how delicate the shoe is they have a VERY HIGH cost per wear.  Just something else to consider.

The dry cleaner also "steals" my stuff until i can find time to  get it. i walk all over the palce, i live in NY and what's the poist of shoes you can't wear? DARN! Thanks for the info, i think this is disuasive(is that even a word?). BUMMER! I'd want to wear them all the time!

I'm kinda distraught about having shoes I can't wear too; plus I have another pair exactly the same (except different top style).  I am tempted to listen to his advise with half an ear.  I just cannot NOT wear them.  What, am I supposed to confine myself to home and work where noone will even see them?

I guess I will probably wear them at will, down the street and all, and just hope for the best. I mean it's only one man's opinion -- even if it is a professional opinion.

I didn't mean to make you not get them, but if you will be walking down city roads all day they may not work for you.

I just had an idea.  If you buy the shoes you could take them to a few differnent cobblers and ask their professional opinion on wear and tear of the shoes.  You could ask if there is anything they could do to protect them.  My guy put another peg on the heel, but said he had to nail it in through the center (apparantly a no-no for wood shoes as it may split the wood -thanks buddy for asking my permission before you did that) so that was probably not the best option.   Anyway if the cobblers give negative reviews you could send them back before you wear them.   If you do decide to get the shoes and take them to a cobbler for his/her opinion, please let me know how it goes.  TIA.
