Newport News Swimsuits: Have you tried them?
Permalink Closed

I am looking into buying a new swimsuit, preferably a bikini, and I really don't want to spend a lot of money on one. (I hate trying on swimsuits by the way)

I was looking at Newport News, and they have a really easy to follow swim suit guide. I was wondering if any of you have bought a swimsuit from them. How was the quality? I swear I have the weirdest body type. I'm pretty slim, but I think I need a little tummy coverage and some backside coverage, maybe something that lifts the backside a little. (I have some junk in the trunk for a slim girl) And I need something to enhance my bust. Am I thinking of a miracle suit that doesn't exist? lol! I still want to look sexy, and not like an old lady at the pool. Any suggestions?

I have a NN bikini and it's been my favorite one for 2 summers now and it's held up really well. For the price the quality is really good. Much better then their clothes quality IMHO.

i bought one. the top was PERFECT, all the bottoms fit horribly and bunchy and rolled up bc the seams are bad(it couldn't have possibly been me!). so now i'm stuck with this top (i was too excited it was so perfect and pulled off the tags) and no matching bottoms.

generally newport news has OK stuff in the catalogue but it has to be fit into your wardrobe, you can't just wear it alone...most of there stuff is very poorly made..but for the price it's often worth it.

i say go for it and report back.

I think they are "ok" for the money, but i wouldn't count on it to last for a long time. Mine has held up well, but I switch out bathing suits so often that I really don't think i've worn it ALL that much. I've heard very mixed reviews from others, but my experience has been ok & what i would expect for a cheaper bathing suit.

Ummm, please dont buy a light colored one... I made this mistake, & of course didn't find out how freakin see-thru it was until i was at a very public water park..... on a slide, in line, and told my ex that he could see EVERYTHING.  Black, or dark colors!!!

Thanks for the feedback ladies! Do you guys have any other reccomendations on great swimsuits? If I have to spend $50+ on a swimsuit, I guess I have to, but I just hate to spend so much on two pieces of material. Unless they are awesome in hiding flaws.

Also if I don't find anything else, I will try the NN and report back.
