I know this is really random, but does anyone do this? My husband and I want to try it, but the only one that we are aware of is peapod, Giant's online grocery delivery service. There was an article recently in the Washingtonian about this and I thought it listed several different options, but when I pulled up the article on their website all I can find was Peapod, which got kind of a mixed review.
Anyone have any experience with peapod or want to recommend an alternative? Thanks in advance!
Do you want them to deliver your groceries or just buy them online and then get coupons for them? There use to be an online service where you bought your groceries online (at a discount) and then you brought the print out to the store and you would shop normally and then go to the register and get the online prices. Not sure the name though. Price something.
I do something similar with Shoprite..... I give them my order online and I go and pick it up. I don't even have to get out of my car - they load all the merchandise in and I hand them the money and go off on my merry way.
You should check out the major grocery chains. Randalls, Albertsons, HEB, etc. I know some of them do it in certain areas (I looked into it when I broke my foot a couple summers ago and lived on the 3rd floor but no luck in my area). I'd check out their individual websites and see what you come up with. HTHs!
I did this for the first time last week. It was great! The only store around me that does it is called Safeway ( I live in Phoenix) and the company has other stores called Vons, Pavillions and maybe others. I got a coupon off their website for free first delivery. After that it's $8-10 to deliver. I had 10-12 bags of groceries and when I went to tip the delivery man he said they couldn't accept tips! I'll do it again.
