ico and I have been discussing creating stitches featuring visually appealing items in Rome.  Since Italy is a design capitol, I thought everyone would enjoy seeing Rome through ico's eyes.

I thought, wouldn't it be cool if others outside of the states sent along pictures as well...

Then I thought, well, why not everyone?

So here's the call to action:

If you see anything aesthetically appealing, whether it's an apparel store window display, art, architecture, jewelry, people on the street, whatever.  If you think it's cool or inspirational, please send it along with location details to kris@stylethread.com and I'll work it into a future stitch!

yeah, you guys are your own country out there smile

of course, like I said, everyone is invited to take pics.  I think its good to look through the eyes of others and what they find appealing. 

I'd love to do something with your pictures of Austin!

OOh I love love love this idea!!  i'm really interested photography and took a bunch of shots of the streets of cairo, where i lived from 2006 to 2008.  i'd love to send them to you but there is NO way you could work them into a stitch.  let me know if you still want them though!  

also, we are moving to istanbul in june and although it's no rome i hear the people are quite fashionable there.  i'll try to send you some fashion-inspired shots and if there is anything specific you would like me to focus on, let me know.  this could be me a great project for me (like my own version of the sartorialist - hehe).

This is perfect timing... Im going to Turkey on friday.  This will give me something to focus my pictures on since im always taking way too many!
