i cant believe i did it.  well, i did it, i just can't believe my friends and family LET me do it.

this past weekend, get ready (oh, and detroit and dc... pls dont kick me out of the forum!)  i permed my hair.  OH holy frizziness.  as if this didnt bring back scary yearbook photo flashbacks, i also asked for bangs... short bangs.

needless to say, i absolutley hate it.

honestly, i have no idea what kind of high quality crack i must have been smoking to have done this.  truthfully, i dont even remember what in bloody hells name i was thinking.

i tried to just tough it out these last few days and wear my hair up and pin my bangs back but i dont think i can handle this.  its just too much. this is what you get when all your life you have stick straight flat hair and you look at pictures of girls with nice thick hair and you think "i can do that".

i hate my hair.

Oh I am sorry.  But you can get through this you just need to adjust and get the right products.

You bangs should not take TOO long to grow out so the perm is the part to deal with right now.  You say you alway had stick straight hair, is it fine?  If so go out and get a silicone based product, you it sparingly on wet hair, you want to weight down the curl.  Now blow dry in a downwarld direction but don't try to brush the hair staight, use your fingers to "tug".  This should help get the curl to loosen some and the silicone should reduce the friz.  HTH.

Okay- the perm I can't make you feel better for that. There is no justification for that- crack or not. The bangs though could work I actually just got short bangs cut a few weeks ago. They give my hair kind of punky look to it. Like itsapinkthing- they should grow out pretty soon. It has only been about two weeks since, I got my bangs cut and I want to get them cut again.

I had a bet w/ my boyfriend and if you lost I was going to make him perm his hair. He lost (yeah)- so I premed it and gave his this crazy jerry curl perm. I only made him walk around w/ it for a few days and then I straightened it for him. I don't know what condition your hair is in-my boys was pretty much virgin- so my stylist said that perming it and straightening it in a short period wouldn’t be too harsh on his hair. It would definitely damage it, but w/ some high quality conditioner he could fix it.

Good luck and it is probably not as bad as you think. We always think we look worse then we do.

Question for you- what was the look you were going for? What did you see in your head?

i'm embarrased to admit this, partly bcs i cant stand her (she just comes off so stuck up) and mostly bcs she's on the oc (i'm staying true to my 90210), i like the way mischa barton's hair looks.

my perm isnt really curly but a cross btwn wavy and curly.  it looks like a curling iron without the looseness (does this even make any sense?!).  anyways, its the bangs that are killing me really.  im going to have to pop me some biotin and hope that my bangs will grow in soon.
