Computer game that let's you create people, you get to pick what they look like and what their personality is like.
That's all I know about it, I used to play Sim city, that was fun... but I can see how the SIMs would be even better. Thinking about getting the X-Box version, but I'm afraid of getting addicted.
Are you guys talking about the internet version of Sims? I hated playing that. Certain dweebs would buy money (like off ebay or something) and that would give them power to buy houses, businesses, whatever. I didn't like the randomness of it all.

I have never played on the internet. I usually would do in on my computer, but then my brother got the it for gamecube and I become equally obssesed w/ that.

The SIMS is the best game ever! I only play the computer version - you create people/families/neighborhoods and choose everyone's personalities and career aspirations and relationships etc. SIMS 2 is even cooler b/c there are different life stages and genetics to tinker with. Kind of like barbies for grown ups !

Yes I'm totally addicted to the Sims, both the original and now version 2! It's hard to explain what is so appealing but I get hooked building the houses, creating the people and then controlling them. It's a fun escape!

The Sims 2 is magical fantasy land where you can turn your Barbies into virtual reality... Okay maybe not. But it is an addicting game and an interesting way to pass a huge chunk of time. Really the upgrades in Sims 2 are astounding, the genetic traits are incredible as are the life stages. You can tinker with their destiny i.e. if a child grows up poorly he will turn into a rotten adolescent with bad skin and violent tendencies and will not have any inclination to a career that does not involve criminal activities. Good times.
