Color enhancing shampoo-found!

I know there was an earlier post about a color depositing shampoo. But they were look for something for brown hair and then decided against the whole thing....anyhow, I just wanted to rave about this one-

It's a natural one, so you can find it in your natural food store. I have light brown wavy hair with a few natural highlights that I wanted to pick up without having to commit to dying or highlighting my whole head. I really like this one...it makes my hair look lighter in some lights and really picks up on my highlights. And if I decide to go back to the darker brown color, I just wash it out with my normal shampoo. Anyhow, this is just something I recommend.

How does it smell? How does it make your hair feel afterwards?

I use ARTec, but I don't really like how it smells. It also makes my hair feel like straw, so I have been looking for a new shampoo. Thanks!

OMG, RyanJ - I hate Artec. I had to give my bottle away because it made me feel sick.

In my experience, color depositing conditioners work much better. My hairdresser said it's because they're designed to coat the hair, not wash out, so they deposit more color. My favorite is Redken color injection, but it's hard to find (Ulta has it sometimes):

I use Rusk (I think) for Blondes now since I couldn't find the Redken. Whenever I use it people ask if I got my hair dyed again.

fairywings - do they make that shampoo for blondes? (I always pictured you as blonde, btw...funny!)

Thanks Halleybird! I will have to give it a try. I like the way my hair looks when I use the Artec, but I just hate using it. I have just never bothered to try anything because I figured they would all be the same.

RyanJ- It smells surprisingly good. I was expecting it to smell like rotton eggs or something, but it has a very strong apple scent. I like it. It makes my hair nice and soft, but I use it daily, so that could also be why.

Halleybird- Actually, that shampoo is for blondes. I cheated and went ahead and bought the one for blondes because I thought the one for brunettes would make my hair darker. If you're blonde, I would buy this one. I actually have really dark blonde hair (some people call it light brown, but I like calling myself a blonde...hehe)

OMG I hate the smell of Artec too. I forgot to mention that on lindsayp's post. Why does it smell so gross?! I'm excited about all these other options though. I'm so afraid of getting highlights but it would be awesome if one of these would do even a little something.
