Does 1,000+ texts a month sound bad? Because thats pretty much my average!!

Meeeee! I was the texting queen before, but my iPhone makes it a bit harder to do it as fast & easily as the old phone, lol. I love texting though, and HATE calling people.

Not to mention that I recently gave in and upgraded my texting plan, not because I was going over by much more than 10 a month, but because I hated restricting myself to the 200 every month smile

Guilty! I've cut way back but for a while there I was sending and receiving over 8000 texts a month! Yeah, seriously.

I'd much rather text than call - I don't have to deal with the random, polite, chitchat. Just "want to meet for lunch?" or "what time will you be here?" - it's so much easier! That said, I don't actually text much. The people I talk to the most either don't have text, don't like it, or are people I am in contact with other ways (I work with my BF and my favorite cousins, if I plan to meet up with people after work we usually just email during the day, etc.)

I have no idea how many I send, though. My phone is paid for my by company so I don't even see the list.

i completely agree! i hate voicemail! it's such a waste of time. i'm considering taking it off my phone because i hate checking it. my husband checks my voicemail more than i do.

not me so much.  I love texting for the convenience, but it doesn't substitute my voice calls.  Probably because I am too long winded and a text message just doesn't cut it when I have substantial things to discuss.  I use texting as an enhancement, not as a substitute, for communication.

I think my favorite thing lately about texting is that you can communicate with your friends from different sides of a crowded and noisy bar or club.
