Ouija boards?

Kind of random, but I was just thinking about them for some reason.


Do you believe in them?  Have you ever had any scary/weird experiences with them?  How do you think they work?


I haven't used one in years, but I always used to push the clear thingy.  I would just get bored because nothing would happen and push it myself to try to freak everyone else out.  But then I would always feel like something was haunting me for days afterward even though I was the one pushing the thing. 


Then, one day, a friend and I actually MADE a Ouija board.  We wrote all the letters/numbers on a paper and used the clear top from a drug store eyeshadow as the clear thingy.  That was the only time I didn't push it.  And it answered all the questions I asked to make sure my friend wasn't pushing it.  It kept saying really mean things like "f you" and "you will die".  We were freaked out for DAYS.  I still think about it sometimes.

I had one but only used it once and thought it was a waste of time.  Maybe I should pull it out again.

I am such a baby when it comes to these.  I don't know why but I've just always been kind of freaked out by them and have never used one.  I don't really believe in them, but if they actually work it's not something I want to be messing with, you know?

I don't "dabble" with them.  I don't really think they can actually hurt anyone, but I have a hunch that they really do invite a spirit you really don't want to know about.

I think your friend pushed it.  Maybe she'll admit it after all these years.


I too pushed the clear thing out of sheer boredom.  I am completely un-supersticious and don't beleieve in them at all.  Come on, if you were a spirit why would you need someone to pull out a Oija board to visit them?  You would haunt at will.  I just don't think it even makes sense.

I made one out of paper also and played with it by myself back when I was in high or junior high school, cant remember. It worked! I'll never touch one again!
I would ask it questions and it would answer. Friends didn't believe me, they thought I was moving it on my own so alot of friends and even guys I didn't know would come up to me at school to test me out and it would answer the questions they only knew.

I had one and we always played with it as kids. I never intentionally pushed it but it always said I'd marry G. G was a boy at school all the girls had huge crushes on and needless to say, I'm not marrying G. Or dating him. Or kissing him. Or doing any of the other things it said I'd do with him. But at that time I really, really wanted to!

So is it real? I don't know. But did it give the answers I wanted to hear? Yep. Were they truthful answers? Nope.

Hmmm... I wander who it will say I'll kiss next. Maybe it will know who I like before I do! Gotta break that baby out again.

Damn all you pushers!! You traumatized me!!! The trick is to ask ONLY personal questions that YOU know, then see what happens.  I was never quick enough to think of that back then....

But I asked it things that she wouldn't know, like my boyfriend's phone number. Wait...uh oh...did she KNOW my boyfriend's phone number for some reason?  She did sometimes hook up with guys with girlfriends.  Hmm...

When I used to push the clear thing and somebody would ask something they only knew, I would just answer with something unrelated to make it seem like the spirit wasn't cooperating or something. 


Friend:  "What is my grandmother's maiden name?"


Ouija board:  "<name of crush> saw you yesterday"


(or just some other completely random thing, always involving the other girl's crush.  This would change the subject as they tried to figure out what that meant).  Damn...I was good...
