What do you girls watch? I get overwhelmed with the programming on Hgtv, Food network, and Travel channel. I want to pick a few good shows. I am obsessed with Anthony Bourdain No Reservations already.
I also really enjoy watching Anthony Bourdain. Other shows I've been loving lately are Clean House, House Hunters, and House Hunters International. Maybe because I am gearing up to have two houses on the market this spring....

My husband and I don't agree on much TV but there is one channel we always agree on and that's the Food Network! We don't watch any of the daytime cooking shows where it's just a person showing you how to cook stuff, but we LOVE shows like:
Diner's, Drive-In's & Dive's (This one is our favorite) Chopped Iorn Chef America Unwrapped Dinner Impossible
I keep hearing that Anthony Bourdain No Reservations is good, I should give it a try!
Not much on Food TV these days - once we bought our house it was pretty much all HGTV.
There's one I like called Deserving Design where they do a makeover for nice people who deserve it (as the name implies) - like the newlyweds taking care of four foster kids, or the unemployed single dad who volunteers all his time at his church, and so on. It's like Extreme Makeover only not so extreme in the makeover as well as the challenges people have.
I also like Divine Design because it's one of the few shows where the redos are relatively up-market, as opposed to the $500 job. (Although the decorator bugs a bit.)
I like House Hunters (any), although sometimes that show stresses me out, and Property Virgins, which is HH with first-time buyers who always think they will be able to get a 4+2 with a finished basement and a fenced yard in a trendy neighborhood for next to no money. Heh. Schadenfreude.
I'll watch pretty much any show that lets me poke around in other people's houses.
I love Anthony Bourdain and Andrew Zimmern (sort of a similar concept but he travels to more obscure places and eats really "gross" stuff) House Hunters international Ace of Cakes (these people are seriously amazing at what they do)
I love House Hunters and Property Virgins. It's interesting too to see the prices and styles of homes in other areas. Plus it's fun to choose my favorite of what their choices are.
On Food Network, I love Giada at Home, Everyday Italian and Iron Chef America.
On the Travel Channel, I love Samantha Brown - Passport to.... Great Weekends, Europe, Latin America, etc. She's sort of quirky but her enthusiasm for all the places she visits is infectious. I have a friend who considers her perkiness to be on the annoying level of Rachael Ray. I don't agree, and I think I have a low tolerance for annoying people, but just a warning.

SO and I also like Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. Bobby Flay's Throwdown is a good one too and our favorite is Alton Brown's Good Eats (all Food Network shows).
I love Samantha Brown and I love the Rachel Ray $40 a day series (where she travels to different cities). I also love House Hunters and Propery Virgins which has filmed a lot in my city and in fact actually filmed on the street where my sister lives (you could see her house on the show!).
FOOD Anthony Bourdain No Reservations Emeril Green on Planet Green channel Iron Chef America Good Eats (Alton Brown kicks butt)
HOME The Stagers !!! Renovation Nation (Planet Green) My House is Worth What? National Open House House Hunters/HH International Property Virgins Designed to Sell Fine Living channel used to have a show based on Dwell Magazine. I don't think it's around anymore. BBC America used to do "Location Location Location." I don't think that's on anymore, but I liked it.
