So you know those coupons that come with their advertisements (20%, $3.50 off) that say "excludes Prestige cosmetics"? Well, "Prestige cosemetics" doesn't include just Prestige cosmetics. It also includes Vincent Longo and god knows what other brands, because as the saleslady said to me in attempted defense of their MISLEADING advertisement, if they listed all "Prestige" brands on, the list would be enormous, and the cost to print that would be enormous, to which I replied, "yeah, and it would be honest." I also said to her, "I am just a customer. I don't know which brands are owned by Prestige. As far as I know [I pointed to the Prestige counter] THOSE are Prestige cosmetcs. Not Vincent Longo." And then she gave me the lame-ass reply, "And we will tell you. The sales people will tell you." Yeah, after you've been lured into the store by their deceitful coupon. I told her it was misleading and dishonest and then left. Now I'm about to write Ulta. I'll add that I went straight to Sephora afterwards to buy my Vincent Longo, even though that's not true. Hey, if they can be dishonest, so can I.

If they only came out with those coupons every once in a while, I think they could have let it slide.  Once I ended up with one of those coupons and I didn't notice it actually said online only!!  I didn't think the sales clerk was too friendly about it either, you would think they would be prepared for customer complaints and have a kinder policy explaining it.  So...well I waited a few weeks and another coupon showed up in the newspaper for store use as usual.

I hate deceptive advertising!  I kept their coupon from last Sunday's paper, but I'm throwing it away now.  I'll just go somewhere else.
