Self Tan

So spring is coming and the temp. around here is high 50's, low 60's.  My questions is, when do you usually start tanning?  I'm a major Mystic Tan person but usaully do not start getting that done until about May (when it starts getting warm and there's a possibility of wearing skirts, shorts, etc.).  I usually apply a self tanner until then.  My question is, when do you guys think it's appropriate to start actually looking tan?

I actually self tanned (my upper body) last night because I'll be wearing a cami tonight and didn't want to look like a ghost.  I plan on going ahead and applying it allover tonight, I was just a little tired last night so I took care of the important part.  I feel so much better with a little color.  Luckily it's nothing major because I've gotten a few compliments but no ones been able to point out exactly what's different about me!!

i always take a vacation around easter (and last year was my last was spring break so then..) i usually start when before my vacations.  i've seen a lot of girls around here tan, so i think because now is a popular time for vacations, it's ok to look tan now.

i think you can get away with a little color all year as long as you don't go overboard.  i  use self-tanner on my face everyday -- i use coppertone endless summer faces and it just gives me enough color to not look sickly but i don't look super fakey tan.  (my skin is naturally pretty pale).
