Trouser Jean Recommendations

Ok I figure a good pair of trouser jeans is a staple item.  Can you girls recommend a few pairs.  I'm more on the curvy side of an 8/10, and about 5'6" if that helps.

I'm built pretty much like you and I love trouser jeans.

I have the Express editors in denim, which I don't really like. I think that's more a product of the rise being a weird length for me, but you could check them out.

I have Citizens of Humanity Fayes and like them, but they're not exactly trouser jeans.

I have a pair of Lux denim trousers from Urban Outfitters last year that I really like, but I don't know if they still sell them.

i have a pair from gap that i absolutely love. and when i bought them they weren't on-line and in the store, so it might be worth swinging by one to see if they have any.

i flipped through the jcrew catalog the other day and they have a lightweight pair for $78. here's a pic:

i actually have these in my j.crew cart right now but i'm still debating on them. they will most likely be ill-fitting on me, but if i do get them i will post a review of them.

I have the Express Editors and I really like them. I'm a curvy 4/6 and I'm shorter than you are (which is why I got them...they come in a short length)...but they work for me and they won't break the bank!

I have the express editors and I love them...I am a curcy 8 and they fit great...I am only 5'4", so I had to shorten them

It depends...are you looking for trouser cut but jeans style (like 7 dojos, COH fayes)? Or something that looks exactly like trousers in a denim fabric?

For the first option, I like 7 Dojos, and COH fayes on other people (not me). I also ordered these from Gap.. .but haven't gotten them yet.

If you want real trousers, I like the editors and wear them all the time. They do shrink in length (even w/o dryer), though -- they used to be long enough for heels, and now they're flats-only. So I'd think about that if you're 5'6". I also saw these at A&F, which are pretty cute...

CoH has some cute ones that i actually tried this weekend.  and i am always a fan of the 7 dojos for a "dressy" alternative!

Well, I'm a curvy 6 and I bought the limited Drew Jean and the Theory jean pant.

They are both very dressy trouser jeans, so they might not be what you are looking for, but the fit on both is amazing.

I also have a pair from the gap that I like.  I have found that I like the fit of lighter weight trouser jeans the best.  My curvy hips don't seem to have as much of an issue with lighter-weight jeans as they do with heavier weight...

Love my express editors, I have all the washes.  They are so flattering on me, I have received compliments that my legs and thighs look slimmer in those than regular jeans!
