I love that we are snowed in! Hubby even got a snow day at work, kicking off a 2 week holiday vacation early (he doesn't return to work until January 5th.)
We are going to finish up with Christmas decorations, I am going to make oatmeal-peanut butter-banana cookies and chili for dinner. I'd also like to get a fire going in the fireplace... Maybe a walk in the snow and some sledding is in order later...
Yay! I love being snowed in!

We have a trainer in from Boston so I had to come to work. DH drove me in his 4WD truck or else it wouldn't have happened. It's a mess out there and my boss with the Hummer is like "I don't see why people wouldn't come in, just drive slow." GRRRRRR
I'd much rather be at home doing what you guys are doing!! Sounds fun!!
Very cool. Meanwhile, it's like 70 degrees here in Charlotte. Our heat at work is turned on for the season, and it won't turn off even though it is hot outside. We're all sweating like pigs here.
It is the last day for me too until Jan 5. So excited to have some time to myself.
It's snowy and cold here! The sun is out today but it still is only 20 degrees. And the heater has been running pretty much 24/7. I give it a break every once in a while by turning on the fireplace but then the upstairs gets cold since the thermostat is downstairs!
I would trade for 75 degree weather in a heartbeat!
You lucky! I had to trudge the mile to work in the snow because I just do not trust cab drivers in this weather! My feet are still wet! I'm hoping for more snow so I have an excuse to just stay in all weekend!

It's my last day too! I went for a walk early this morning with the puppies and everything was beautiful and perfectly glowing white. My suburban commute to work was full of dirty snow but reasonably speedy. I'll be at home tonight hosting a small holiday gathering for another couple. I'm ready for a good meal (in the slow cooker as we speak), some nice wine, gifts and board games. The perfect evening in. Yay!

We've had a bit of a reprieve from our first snow-in yesterday and today, when it warmed up just enough to melt the ice left on the roads. Husband and I ran around yesterday getting last-minute things done and I just got home from another round of the same today - the biggest snow storm in 50 years is supposed to arrive here overnight! I'm looking forward to enjoying this one - the first one caught us by suprise.
My pup looooves the snow, too . Happy snow-in everyone!

It looks like the big storm will only deliver cold, nasty rain with maybe, maybe two inches of snow tonight. I was really looking forward to a big snow. I can't wait till I get to take my dog out in the snow. It will be his first winter with us so I'm really excited seeing his reaction to playing in the snow.

we got a inch or two overnight here in Minneapolis but we're supposed to get hit tomorrow and tomorrow night, probably with that same storm. i don't mind, though, since we don't have a whole lot of snow yet and my christmas shopping is almost done. i'm going to stay home and make cookies and wrap presents!
my aunt sent this to me, and i thought you all might like it:
I'm freezing my butt off but of course we don't really get snow in Cali; although, I think Socal did get some the other day. That's so cool though, D. I wish we could have heavy snow and go play in it.
It is a disaster here in Connecticut. Took me 6 hrs to get home yesterday. To put things into perspective it takes 2.5 hours to drive across the state. I have to drive to work shortly. I'm thrilled :(
Today is my last workday until Jan. 5 so after this I can hack away in earnest on my five-page to-do list. I'm hoping for rain so I don't have to do yardwork too. Tomorrow I'll be cooking and cleaning all day for anywhere from 6 to 30 people coming over on Christmas.
