questionable ebay seller?
Permalink Closed

I've used ebay before and know a little bit about what to watch for, but I can't decide if this guy is ok.  He has a 97.8% positive feedback and has had the same user ID since Jan 04 but his feedback is private.  He's had 40 pos feedback in the past month and only 6 neg in the past year.  This isn't bad, but it still kind of bothers me that he's made the feedback private.

Here is a link to one of his auctions.  Do you think these are authentic (I don't know much about Seven's)?  This isn't the item I want to bid on, but if he's selling fake jeans I don't want to buy anything from him.

while they don't look fake to me, i would assume that they are for a couple of reasons

1.  bidding starts at .99 ???  what?

and the private feedback.

i wouldn't bid on anything this guy is selling.  to me private feedback = shady.

not really sure if they are fake or not.  one of the ways to tell is by the shape of the letters and numbers on the tags and he doesn't have any clear closeups of that so I would be somewhat suspicious. What do you want to get from them?  It might be easier to help with the actual item.

I would never bid with any seller who has private feedback.  You don't know if some of the positives were saying the item is fake, but it's ok for the money or something like that.  Whatever the reason he obviously has something to hide or else he would proudly show his feedback like almost every other ebayer.  My advise is to pass.

Thanks guys.  I'm looking at this Grail tank.  Again, it's really hard to tell because there are no close ups.  I have the same one in black (so I'm familiar with what they should look like) and I love it.  At this price I would definitely get the pink one but I don't want to waste money on a fake.  I'm kind of thinking that maybe the Grail stuff is real and the jeans are fake but it's so hard to tell.  I think I'm going to pass.

I won't bid on anything that's being sold by someone with private feedback.  They're clearly trying to hide something.

And I've bought Seven pink a-pockets on ebay that turned out to be fakes, so I will never buy jeans on ebay unless they're guaranteed authentic.
