Sizing question- too big or too small
Permalink Closed

Ok, I bought some cropped Sanctuary pants from Anthropologie.  They're really cute, but the size I bought was a little loose on me and the size smaller was really tight.  The more I wear them around the house though, the looser they get- which is ok because they're not supposed to be that tight.  I don't want them to fall off though!  I don't know which is better- not being able to gain weight or not being able to lose weight- they are both so stressful!  I think that I'm gonna go back in and try the smaller ones on and wear them for a little longer and see how they feel- espec. since I tend to exercise more in the summer.  I just hope they're still there!  Anyway- opinions needed.  Also- those that exercise often, how much weight did you drop to go down a size?  I don't really want to change my size if it's possible to exercise and just get toned instead of smaller?

Cute pants by the way!
If the smaller size fit you too snug and dont get lose with wear then just keep the ones you have. Cause in the first place, you dont even need to lose more weight, you look great!
If the ones you have are to lose for your liking, then take them to a tailor so they can adjust them to your exact body size.

I don't want to lose weight.  I just know that i do in the summer because i'm more active.  It's a stupid thing to worry about, but I don't want them to be way too baggy when I want to wear them.

i think for most people, 15-20 lbs makes you go down a size. cute pants, i have some almost identical from anthro. from last year....

If you are going to work out alot in the summer then go with the size smaller. When you tone up you will lose inches but stay the same weight or gain some even. I've lost 20 pounds and have lost at least one size almost 2 and I work out heavily 2xs a week (weights and cardio) and sometimes just cardio 2 more days a week.

Most stuff stretches out anyway so you might wish you had the smaller size.

I would stay with what you have. I think they look great. These should fit a bit looser.. its just the style.

Sorry but I have to differ w/ the current opinion, they look pretty baggy on you as it is and I think you'll fit into the smaller size OK right now,. if you happen to lose weight then the smaller size will fit perfectly.
