Luella Gisele on Smart Bargains

Smart Bargains has the Luella Gisele on sale (the Long, Mini, and Extra Large Totes) for about $100 less than on Neiman's website.  I also have a 10% coupon for any purchase.  Is this a good deal?  Should I get it?

I'm really leaning towards the red or burgundy in the Long Tote:

I like the bag, but I am not absolutely gaga drooling over it.  Should I wait, save my money, and get a bag I fall head over heels for?   I'm just scared I won't feel that way about any bag in the near future and will kick myself for not taking this deal (if it is one).

I think you should wait.  You can get a good deal but you'll still be spending a lot of money on something that you don't love.  You should probably save the cash and use it when you find your dream bag.

Did you want one of these badly when it first came out?  If not, I wouldn't get it.  Like you said, you are not head over heels in love with it.  If it was $200, yes.  But it would still be $500-$600, which could def. buy a bag you're crazy about, maybe even two.  Also, the fact that they're going on sale at Bluefly and Smart Bargains and Neimans makes me question how long the style will last before it looks dated, plus it doesn't seem as special for some reason now.  I, personally, am already sick of them, and was within a few months of seeing them.  I *think* Juicy knocked them off, and once that happens, I shudder (snobby, I know.)  But take this with a grain of salt as I still have yet to buy a bag that cost over $150 because I don't want to spend all that money on a bag of the moment that I will tire of once I see everyone carrying it.  I just don't have that kind of money.  I am still looking for the perfect obscure slouchy handbag in the $200-300 range- I think I may have to hit up some boutiques in another country to find it

I think you should wait. Even with the discount, thats a lot of money to spend on something that you're not crazy about. I also think the bag is starting to look dated already, so I'm not sure how much use you would get out of it before you got sick of it.

I'm just going to echo everyone else's thoughts. I'd say wait it out. I am a self professed bag-a-holic (and all my friends have repeatedly chased me away from impulse handbag purchases.) So take it from someone who would proabably give up buying clothing for years if i could get my hands on all the bags I wanted, If you're not gaga drooling over it, it's not worth the money. Wait till something comes along that captivates you. It doesn't have to be the tried and true it bag. In fact, you'll probably be much happier if it's not (less knockoffs to frustrate you when you're out and about.)

I agree with everyone else. Plus these bags are getting annoying cause they're being knocked off right and left.

i agree with everyone else.  Even though your saving a hundred or so...the bag is still pretty expensive.  I would not fork out that type of money for a bag that is just ok...becuase most likely you wont wear it as much as you would if you lOVEED it.  There are soo many gorgoues handbags out there...just wait awhile and im sure youll find something else

like lynnie said, if you didn't want it when it first came out and haven't been coveting it, don't buy it now.  $100 off isn't really that much when you're talking 600-800.

I'm not nuts about it either, unless it was realllly cheap.

Also, those bags are a pain in the @$$ to get in and out of. I have a bag with similar strap placement and it annoys me to no end.
