I am graduating with my M.B.A. on May 6 and need to find a dress to wear... any suggestions?

Congrats on getting your MBA! When I graduated from college and grad school I wore sundresses both times under my robe. I don't know exactly what you're looking for, but I found some pretty, nice dresses at Max Studio. Most of them are on sale too.

It's in the evening - we have a sit down dinner prior - then we're going out and whooping it up after the ceremony... I really like the one you chose  - where did you get that?


I also like the black strapless and the green one... did you get that black strapless one for the opera?

i got the floral one with the green band for a wedding.  i LOVE it!!  it might be too dressy for a graduation.  i graduated last may and i wore this one cuz i had an amazing tan....



Charles by Charles David Kandythere's aqau in the shoe and aqua earrings.  i was going out after and i didn't want the dress to look too bride-like, so i wanted to funk it up a bit.  i also had an aqua feather handbag (it's cuter than it sounds).

If I wear buying a graduation dress it would be one of these. But I dress inappropriatel for most events so I'm not sure if these suitable.

i haven't gotten the milly dress yet(i'm hoping to lose a dress size before i need to wear it)- but they have a website, millyny.com and it was in this months shop etc. hthelps for store locations


and yeah, that black strapless is in the running for my opera dress ;)


ps- the milly dress also comes in another colorway, which u can see from this other milly dress- the pic in shop etc. shows it in this coloring- hth

Thank you all so much for the suggestions! I want to do something fun, but I didn't know how casual or how dressy I could go...  you all gave me some really great ideas to go on - thanks again!


I would love to get this dress, but I think I would freak out all my conservative classmates

Not at all! My girlfriends and I are looking for our undergrad graduations in May, and my roomate might get this green(ish) dress from Anthro:  



I'm in love with it, but alas, she found it first. It's listed under the petite section, but it looks like it comes in regular lengths too?

detroit congrats! i think everyone has posted alot of beautiful dresses.. you have great taste so i'm sure you'll find something amazing. here are some dresses that caught my eye.. don'tknow if they're your style but i just wanted to help!



Betsey Johnson mannequins are so freakin' crazy! The dresses always look better on you than they do on the mannequins!


Maybe too casual? But I like it!
