Seeing it on SJP makes you want to buy it.  Seeing it on this model well...... doesn't!

I can't even tell you how much I want that suede tote! But I've bought too many bags lately so I can't really justify it :(

Believe me I feel your pain. I would get it but light suede purses always get dirty within a day of me touching them, I have a cute beige one that is a wreck. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to prevent this?

It is amazing how attitude and stance can change the way a garment looks. On SJP, hot and sexy!! On model, hello, frumpy. Wow. That suede tote is beautiful.

i really feel like maybe they use a different fabric i.e. more expensive fabric for the models and then a cheaper one for the store.  for instance, when i saw the old navy commercial for some jeans on molly sims, i knew that they could not actually be the old navy jeans that they sell in the stores.  not sure if this is what happens, but it's my theory.  but, i agree, i think sjp looks great in everything.

Bliss - suede spray works for me. And I'm pretty cautious about wearing light purses with dark colors - especially jeans. Sometimes it's not dirt, it's color transfer. I also try to be conscious of where I'm placing it - ok, I'm actually a pain in the neck about my stuff. If I'm wearing light colored pants, for instance, I won't sit down in the mall food court.

i tried that little top on at the gap and it is rather cute in person.  didn't get it but probablly will in a couple of weeks. not a MUST have but not bad either.  pretty much all of the bags in leather and suede at the gap right now are HOT.  *sigh* i have so many bags but i can always be persuaded to buy more.

by the way get all suede and soft leather goods treated at a reputable cleaners or department store.

It does look a bit dowdy. It's like some Marc by MJ stuff (where he's trying to be particularly cutesy)... can be v. cute on the right person but look frumpo on everyone else.

They do have a few cute things in the gap right now, though... and some things on sale.

Hey girl. The bags are on sale right now, too. I like the perforated totes (look more like hobos to me but they call them "totes") - they're $70 something from $90..... just saying.

argh you temptress you. i've been eyeing that star bag (the large one not the small one) for a minute.  did you like the washable suede tote in white?  i really want a cute white bag and i don't want to spend more then $200. i've been eyeing a few at work but haven't made the jump yet. . .
