It can.  Because one of the things they advertise wearing it with is backless tops/dresses.

I have the Very Sexy convertible and while it's a nice bra and all...I seriously cannot stand to be in that bra for any longer than 2 hours. I think it's because I'm a 36C. Meh.


GapBody makes easier to deal with convertible bras too. Or at least I always see them in the store.
