okay- so i have done the mystic tanning in the booth- so i know all the rules to exfoliate before don't wear lotion, etc.  BUT tomorrow- i am going to have someone actually spray me... like a physical person will be spraying my body down with tanner!  yikes!  i am a bit of a prude... so- any of you done it like this?  anything different to expect?  i am planning on wearing my panties but no bra (can't stand back lines)....

sorry i can't give any advice but please report back on your experience after you do it!

i've never done it but my gay hairdresser does it and he loves it.  he also said it lasts much longer than the mystic does (7 days vs 2 days).  Let me know what you think.

I used to get it done all the time. The key is to get a good person to do it. My gal left the salon and now they have these stupid kids doing it. I was really dissapointed w/ the results when they did it...I guess it's like anything else (hair styled, nails done, facials) it all depends on the person. :) I wore an old strapless swimsuit, and I un did the back when it came time for my back. I'm a prude tho ;) That's why I only use lancome gel tanner now and do it myself. I can get my whole body the way I like it done, w/ no splotches and no lines.

well, the girl i had tonight was amazing! she was originally from LA and learned to do airbrush tanning there... so she did a great job. it is REALLY dark right now but i am sure a lot of it will fade off tomorrow in the shower... very even application like i expected. i also asked her about contouring because i was curious about it myself and she told me that usually clients looked "dirty" when they had it done and she doesn't like to do it. basically it's good for photographs but not real life.

so- that was my experience!

How much did it cost? I've been tempted but I'm not sure I can stomach the price when I can do it at home for cheap.

Bex-

I'm glad you had a good experience. I'm having it done on Friday. I've never had it done before either but hopefully I'll like it... it's actually the same price as Mystic and the salon offers packages so it may become a regular thing depending on my results.

mystic tanning (in the booth) costs me 20 bucks

this was 30- i figured for a better application it was worth it, however, it is not fading as nicely as the mystic... but i think it might be because i love love love HOT showers and you're not supposed to go that route while you have the tanner...
