Help- I wanna save my sweaters...
Permalink Closed

Hey Sassy Ladies!

I need your help!!! It's an extreme fashion emergency.

I have some great sweaters and they are all starting to pill around the arms, etc. Does anyone know, do dry cleaners de-pill sweaters?

Has anyone used one of those de-pillers that supposedly 'shave' the extra sweater part off?

I love these sweaters but they are starting to look really dingy.

Among knitters it is really common to use those cheap bic razors that come in packs of 10 for just a few bucks.  Works great!

I used to have one of those sweaters, but I thought it took way to long to get results.

Thanks!

I'm going to start calling around to see which dry cleaners here in Detroit do it!

i also saw on telly last week that you can use an old pumice stone to de-pill your sweaters.  i haven't tried it yet myself- but i figured it would be worth a shot

you can check with drycleaners or buy some products at JoAnn's ( I have both of these items and they work well) I use the defuzzit comb for quick fixes, and the battery shaver thing for larger defuzzing jobs...
