Official Dates
Secret Santa sign up deadline: November 24
Secret Santa notification: December 1
Secret Santa wishlist and/or like/dislike list: December 1
Mail deadline: December 15

Below are the rules. This year, with all the lay offs and economic issues we're all facing, we're dropping the budget this year. We're asking people to only spend between $10 and $15 and are theme this year is: "Fabulous Christmas in a Financial Crisis". Let's all try to find the most unique and fabulous presents possible- check your local thrifts, search out for the best sales, and use those shopping skills!

Make sure that you email secretsantast@gmail.com with your real name, addess, and phone number by November 24th! Just signing up on here and saying you want to participate is not enough!

To make Secret Santa 2008 the best yet, to participate you must:
 

  1. Have 500+ posts as of November 24st.
  1. E-mail your name, address, and phone number with subject line SS (insert your stylethread name) to  secretsantast@gmail.com no later than November 24st
  1. Receive your Secret Santa recipient via e-mail from secretsantast@gmail.com by December 1st.
  1. Post in the Secret Santa Wishlist/Like/Dislike post by December 1st.
  1. Spend between $10 and $15.  Finding the most bang for your buck with the spending range is recommended, and thrifty!
  1. Mail your gift no later than December 15th.
  1. When you mail your gift, e-mail secretsantast@gmail.com with subject line SHIPPED (insert your stylethread name) and include the ship date, carrier, and tracking code (if applicable) in the body of the e-mail
  1. Post about your gift when you receive it in the Secret Santa Gifts Received Thread

PS: If anybody who's organized this in the past wants to send me some tips or whatever...please do so!

Are we doing a separate thread for gifts received? I just got my present from nunzi, and it is awesome. :) She got me some gloves that leave my fingers free to write while flying and some yummy rice krispy treats, as well as a cute bag I can use for my trip to Hawaii. Thanks so much, Nunzi! It was a treat to find the box on my porch!
