I need a new set of hot rollers. Does anyone have any recs? My biggest problem is having them slip out - even when my hair is a day old! So I probably need some with at least a bit of grip, not the smooth, flocked ones I have now.

I love mine, I got them at wal mart a few months ago. They are ion by conair, and they come in a great small compacted container so they are not bulky. I think I paid 19.87 or something like that for them, and they were on sale from the regular $36 price.

I stopped using rollers - I just use a flat iron and twist it to make waves.

I saw a youtube video of it once, you could check on there. That being said, after I watched the video I tried it myself and didn't get anywhere.

Ditto! I just ended up with weird bends in my hair. I think I want to get hot rollers. I have naturally curly hair, but if I straighten it and then try to curl it, it falls out right away.

I don't know if you've tried this, but I find that my hair curls waaay better if I didn't shampoo the morning of. I don't even try to curl my freshly-shampooed hair anymore, because it's a waste of my time. I plan my shampooing schedule around hot dates and big events smile.gif

What happened to curling irons?

I find that rollers give my hair a really old-fashioned look! (in fact I used them when I did my Marilyn costume)
