Ciarla Designs Silk Jersey Dress

Alas, $420 at mightyflirt.  Then again.. maybe it's not so trendy.  Maybe I could get a decent CPW ratio out of it.... thoughts?  So hot.  Sigh.

really beautiful... $420 is a little stiff. i do agree that it's not overly trendy, but for $420 you can get a real classic. also i would question the quality.

That is a really beautiful dress.  I dunno, it may be a bit trendy.  However, if the style suits your body type I bet it would look good for several years.  Also, those flapper/twenties inspired style never really look to dated, IMO, and the come back around fairly frequently.

I saw a similar dress on nordstrom.com by Trina Turk and couldn't stop drooling...  But then, I've alwasy been partial to Trina.

I love it. I totally understand your problem, it is a bit of money. How often do you go to events where you could wear it?

I think it is a fabulous dress, but I don't think the CPW ratio would be good.  I really can only see it worn on a dressy night out and it's too unique to wear it out too many times.  The first and second time you wear the dress, everyone will compliment you and think it's great, but after a while, it would just be "oh, it's that dress again."  I don't know about you, but for me, my going out clothes are the ones I am less willing to wear out again around the same group of people.

I would probably get it if I could think of 2 events that I can wear it to in the next month where I would be with a different group of people.  I've definitely spent this much on a dress I've only wore once.  It seems kind of trendy to me so i wouldn't envision that I would wear it next year and even if it wasn't trendy, I'm sure I would want to wear a newer dress.

So freaking hot. I think your CPW might be decent over the next 30 years. I think it will come in and out of style.

you should get it.

Hell, I should get it.

that dress is fantastic!! I think that if you have a decent number of events where you need to dress up, it could have an ok CPW over the span of a few years. Of course, you wouldn't want everyone to be sick of seeing you in the same dress, but you might be able to change the look a little with a shrug or shawl as well. I love it!

that is such a gorgeous dress. while the price is a bit steep, i think you should get it. while you may not ever break even in terms of CPW, you'll definitely get a lot of bang for your buck (sorry couldn't think of another expression) everytime you wear it, which more than makes up for the fact (imo) that you can't wear it that much.

I do like it but I don't think that it is that classic. If it were black, i'd say definately. But I just don't think the CPW will be that great. I agree with the others about wearing it to different events with completely different people.
