The Blue Martini in Birmingham... My g-friend L and I were coming out of the rest room and there were these guys walking in front of us. One of them kept turning around and talking to another guy and he looked really familiar and I just couldn't place him - I knew he was an actor but I couldn't think of his name... It was John Cusack. Then I noticed the person he kept turning to and caught a glimpse of his face - I turned to my friend L and said, I think that's kid rock... so I kind of sped up and kind of whacked/grabbed his arm like you would if a friend was passing by and you kind of grab at their arm. He turned around - it was definitely him - he turned around and I just smiled and said "hey" and stuck out my hand - he shook it and smiled and said hey back - very nice and down to earth (typical flannel shirt wearing Michigander). Oh - and then I got grabbed by a body guard - oops. Nothing huge just put his hands on my upper arms and *placed* me to the side... Anyway - that's my story - kind of a fun deal...

I saw Kid Rock at a Piston's game before. Oh, and Quame (sp?) shook my bf's hand. I've never been to Birmingham, I would like to go shopping there though, I hear there are some cute shops.
Tati - I wouldn't really consider him attractive. He's typical rural Michigan material - kinda scrappy - stereotypical euchre playing, keg beer drinking, ice fishing, deer hunting type of guy that just happened to make it big.
Jen - you should definitely try to make a trip to Birmingham - there's a lot of great bars/restaurants, cool boutiques, and some chain stores including Anthropologie. If you need any info, let me know.

Ok, I had to laugh, because I thought euchre was only played in Indiana. I had never heard of it until I moved to Indy.
fun story. i like how you said the bodygaurd *placed* you to the side. by the way i have always thought kid rock looked like he should be in a civil war reinactment on the side of the south. no offense to any fashionable civil war reinactment members we might have on this forum. about john (notice i am calling him by his first name to make us seem close...or perhaps i am looking a little stalkerish ha ha ah) i am a married woman. my husband and i each have a list of ten people that it would be ok to "cheat" with (mostly stars we will never meet don't worry we're not one of those swinger couples or anything) john is on my list. taru i'll have to fight you for him.
